Covid-19

COVID-19 Protection Committee

In March 2020, SSA created a multidisciplinary team to integrate the COVID-19 Protection Committee. The Committee will monitor the evolution and impacts of COVID-19 in all company processes, in order to ensure maximum protection for the team of employees, customers, and consumers of São Salvador Alimentos products.

Preventive Measures against COVID-19

São Salvador Alimentos has created a Contingency Plan to ensure the safety of all employees and everyone involved in the production chain. The document was developed following the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Ministry of Health, and other government agencies, and was approved by the Municipal Health Secretariat.

SSA currently has more than 100 COVID-19 prevention actions in place. The company is constantly improving, with its operations adapted to minimize the risks of virus contamination and ensure a healthy work environment for all.

The Contingency Plan also observes the recommendations of the Labor Public Prosecutor’s Office, established by the Conduct Adjustment Agreement (TAC) signed with the institution.

Social Actions during the Pandemic

São Salvador Foods understands its social responsibility. For this reason, during the new coronavirus pandemic, the company intensified its efforts to assist various institutions throughout Brazil. The company donated dozens of tons of food so that philanthropic entities could overcome this crisis period and, mainly, assist the communities where they operate.

SSA also donated equipment to the Municipal Hospital of Itaberaí/GO and sent financial resources to the Ministry of Health through the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA). Regardless of the amount of donations during the pandemic, SSA did not interrupt any of its monthly donations to partner institutions.
