One of the most reputable brands in agribusiness in the Midwest, SSA has a complete structure for the production, cutting, and distribution of poultry. Present in nine Brazilian states and the Federal District with the SuperFrango and Boua brands, the company also exports its products to Africa, Central America, Asia, and Europe. To manage more than 90,000 monthly deliveries, the company relies on the support of transportation logistics management solutions from Lincros.

The agribusiness company’s fleet is outsourced, and according to Ricardo Natal Rodrigues Cardoso, SSA’s logistics coordinator, one of the major challenges is to ensure efficient route planning, bringing better cost-benefit to the delivery routine. “We have approximately 250 vehicles running daily, and often the organization of routes was based on the team’s experience. That is, if a professional from a specific unit or the driver who knew that region was absent or left the company, there would be a significant problem to organize the delivery process,” recalls Ricardo.

This work has been 100% automated, and today the routes are developed based on the system’s information, taking into account various indicators for better use of resources and time. “Automating the route creation process has optimized our team’s time. Today, we save an hour in each route creation process for each region where we operate,” says Ricardo Cardoso.

The automation of a dynamic logistics, which includes the use of different types of vehicles and the reallocation of loads at certain points, was gradual, also involving a cultural change in the company. “Professionals themselves had to adapt to a new reality. The driver now has a GPS resource, which guarantees control of his route by the central unit and gives us more reliability for decision making. With the process adaptation and the team’s support over time, we were able to streamline the logistics routine, which is essential for the operation’s growth,” highlights the manager.

Another positive factor of SSA’s logistics operation automation through Lincros solutions was the optimization of labor, as professionals can now focus on more strategic operations in the sector.
