Quality Policy
To achieve satisfactory zootechnical results, healthy birds, and excellent sanitation quality with a customer focus, following strict quality standards, and meeting the current regulatory requirements of the domestic and international markets. Therefore, São Salvador Alimentos invests in the training of its employees, innovations, and continuous improvement of its processes.
Grain Warehouse
For grain storage, we have three warehouses integrated into the production process. This allows for agility in processes and decisions and quick transportation of inputs. The capacity of our own storage centers is currently 110,000 tons, which is sufficient to supply up to four months of feed production. This allows us to mitigate the impact resulting from price volatility to which players with lower storage capacity are exposed.
Feed Factory
We have feed factories for broiler chickens in our two production units, which facilitates and reduces the cost of transportation to our integrated partners. We produce up to 130 tons of feed per hour at the Itaberaí Unit and 30 tons per hour in Nova Veneza. The feed factories are continuously improved, with investments in technology and process improvement. We also work with the production of a leased unit in the state of Paraná, with a production capacity of 11 tons per hour of feed for breeding.
In October 2021, we inaugurated a new feed factory for breeding in Itaberaí. With an investment of R$ 87 million, the plant is fully automated and follows the premises and concepts of Industry 4.0. The production capacity is 60 tons of feed per hour.
Fábrica de rações
Temos fábricas de rações para frango de corte em nossas duas unidades de produção, o que facilita e reduz o custo do transporte aos nossos parceiros integrados. Produzimos até 130 toneladas de ração por hora na Unidade Itaberaí e 30 toneladas por hora em Nova Veneza. As fábricas de rações são continuamente aprimoradas, com investimentos em tecnologia e melhoria de processos. Trabalhamos também com a produção de uma unidade arrendada no estado do Paraná, com capacidade de produção de 11 toneladas por hora de ração para matrizes.
Em outubro de 2021, inauguramos uma nova fábrica de ração, para matrizes, em Itaberaí. Com investimento de R$ 87 milhões, a planta é totalmente automatizada e segue as premissas e os conceitos da Indústria 4.0. A capacidade de produção é de 60 toneladas de ração por hora.
Rearing Unit
Comprising the period between 1 and 22 weeks of the breeder’s life, its objective is to ensure a growth progression according to the adopted lineage standard, meeting the expected weight uniformity criteria of the batch. During this period, it is important to prepare the birds for sexual maturity. The rearing unit is located in the District of Calcilândia in the City of Goiás/GO.
Fertile egg production unit
The egg production phase takes place in the laying flock after the adaptation of these birds. In this unit, females and males are housed in the same shed, allowing for mating and consequently the production of fertile eggs. The production of these eggs occurs from the age of approximately 24 weeks to 68 weeks of age for these birds. This unit is located in the municipality of São Francisco de Goiás/GO.
Unidade de produção de ovos férteis
A fase de produção dos ovos, ocorrerá no matrizeiro de postura, após adaptação destas aves. Nesta unidade, as fêmeas e os machos são alojados no mesmo galpão e, assim, ocorrerá o acasalamento e consequentemente a produção dos ovos férteis. A produção destes ovos ocorrerá no período de 24 semanas até aproximadamente 68 semanas de idade destas aves. Essa unidade está instalada no município de São Francisco de Goiás/GO.
Incubator
Regarding the incubator, we have facilities that allow us to incubate 11.4 million eggs per month, serving our two slaughter and industrialization units. Our incubator has air-conditioned rooms and modern individual control of pressure and relative humidity. This incubation capacity has been expanded by 4 million eggs per month through a partnership located in Brasília, which has modern equipment and an integrated biosafety system. One of our employees works within the partner’s facilities to assist in maintaining actions and replicating our best practices. Similarly to the laying flock, training and checklists are periodically applied.
Integration
In 2021, the construction of new aviaries for Project Modal V was started, in line with SSA’s growth plan, which will allow the Nova Veneza plant to move towards the proposed slaughter evolution for the unit in the coming years.
This initiative is part of the partnerships we maintain. We work in partnership with 208 producers who have 803 aviaries, located within an average radius of 38 kilometers from our units. This proximity provides significant economies of scale and reduces logistical costs. Our integrated partners build aviaries according to our technical specifications and are remunerated according to the productivity level and zootechnical indices of the batches provided.
Integração
Em 2021, foi iniciada a construção de novos aviários para o Projeto Modal V, em linha com o planejamento de crescimento da SSA, o que permitirá que a planta de Nova Veneza caminhe para os próximos anos com a evolução de abate proposta para a unidade.
Essa iniciativa se insere no contexto das parcerias que mantemos. Atuamos em parceria com 208 produtores, que detêm 803 aviários, localizados em um raio médio de 38 quilômetros de distância de nossas unidades. Essa proximidade propicia importantes ganhos de escala e redução de custos logísticos. Nossos parceiros integrados constroem os aviários conforme nossas especificações técnicas e são remunerados de acordo com o nível de produtividade e os índices zootécnicos dos lotes fornecidos.
Processing
We have two production units located in the state of Goiás, equipped with modern equipment, high automation, and operating in a verticalized manner, totaling a daily slaughter capacity of approximately 520,000 birds. With each unit operating in all stages of our production chain, we ensure operational independence, cost reduction, and total control of the quality of our processes and products.
Distribution
The most modern industrial parks in Latin America take Brazilian products to over 75 countries on four continents. SSA has more than 26,000 customers, generating over 95,000 monthly deliveries. SSA has achieved excellence in processes that, combined with strict sanitary control, guarantee authorizations that allow the export of its products to over 170 countries.
